Masters of Chant Chapter II (English for: " Master of Chants Chapter II ") is the second album of the Gregorian music project , which was released in October 2001. On the album there are again cover versions of well-known songs in the Gregorian style . The album was produced by Frank Peterson .

Emergence

Work on the album began in the summer of 1999 after Masters of Chant became an outstanding success. Production lasted until autumn 2001.

Publications

The album was released as a normal compact disc. In 2002 the DVD for the album Moments of Peace In Ireland was released. In 2006 a "Diamond Edition" followed with an identical track list, in 2007 it was published in the Earbook Chants & Mysteries . In France, the name of the album is Masters of Chant . Since Masters of Chant only appeared there in 2001 (as Masters Of Chant Chapitre II ), the first two albums were released there reversed.

In France the album had three bonus tracks: Instant de Paix (French version of Moment of Peace ), Rêver and Voyage Voyage . From the moment of Peace , there is a Spanish and a Portuguese version. In addition, a limited edition was released in Germany, which contained the multimedia track with the video for the single Moment of Peace as a bonus , but which was soon taken out of sale because it was not selling well enough.

reception

The album sold very well internationally, so it reached number 6 in the album charts in Germany (first entry: 43/2001). It got gold in Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Portugal and South Africa and platinum in Finland.
