Mate Maleš (born March 11, 1989 in Šibenik ) is a Croatian football player . At the time of his first division debut, he was one of the youngest players in the 1st Croatian league HNL . He is currently under contract as a midfielder with CFR Cluj .

Between 2006 and 2008 Maleš came to a total of seven junior international matches for Croatia in the age groups U-18, U-19 and U-20.

In 2008 Maleš signed his first professional contract with Dinamo Zagreb after Hajduk Split had tried to sign him. Croatian newspapers headlined "Hajduk's greatest hope goes to Zagreb!"
