Damjan Đoković (born April 18, 1990 in Zagreb , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian football player . He has been under contract with CFR Cluj since September 2017 .

Career

Đoković started playing football at the age of eight at ADO Den Haag . At the age of 16 he moved to Excelsior Rotterdam , a year later to the youth of Sparta Rotterdam . In 2009, the Slovak first division team Spartak Trnava signed him . There he came only to one use and left the club in the summer of 2010 for the Slovenian club HNK Gorica , where he did not get a chance. In early 2011 he moved to AC Monza in the Italian Lega Pro . In the summer of 2011, first division club AC Cesena signed him. In the 2011/12 season he came in 15 appearances mostly as a substitute in the games. After relegation, he stayed with the club. After a season in Serie B, he moved to FC Bologna in the summer of 2013 , but was immediately loaned to CFR Cluj in the Romanian League 1 for one season.

After his time with the Corsican club Gazélec FC Ajaccio , he was signed on October 15, 2016 after a short break by the second division Greuther Fürth until the end of the season.

At the end of January 2017 it was announced that Đoković was moving to the Italian club Spezia Calcio . In La Spezia he played with his team in Serie B for promotion, but retired in the play-off games against the later promoted Benevento Calcio . In summer 2017 he left the club and joined the reigning Croatian champions HNK Rijeka . There he could not assert himself and only came to two appearances in the league and one in the Champions League qualification . At the beginning of September 2017, his former club CFR Cluj signed him. There he was able to win the Romanian championship at the end of the 2017/18 season.
