Matthias Dang (born April 10, 1967 in Mainz ) is a German manager and managing director of the TV marketing company IP Deutschland ( RTL , VOX , Super RTL , n-tv and RTL Nitro ). The former handball referee was a member of the DHB squad for 15 years .

Life

Matthias Dang began his referee career in 1983 at the age of 16 and has formed a team of referees with Thorsten Zacharias since 1992 . From 1993 to 2008 he directed over 481 games in the DHB area, including the cup final between HSV Hamburg and SG Flensburg-Handewitt in 2004 and the cup final between THW Kiel and HSV Hamburg in 2008.

On July 26th, 2008 Matthias Dang ended his active career as a referee together with Thorsten Zacharias, leading the international match of the German women's national team against the selection of Angola in Cologne's Lanxess Arena .

Dang studied economics in Mainz from 1989 to 1993 . He completed his studies with a degree in business administration . He is married and has two children.

In 1993 Dang joined IP Deutschland as " Marketing Assistant RTL" and, after a few promotions, became " Marketing Director " in 2003 and " Sales Director " in 2004. After his appointment as deputy managing director in 2009, Dang became managing director of IP Germany in September 2012. In an interview in the magazine kressreport at the beginning of 2014, Dang talked about the successful business and the changed values surrounding the format, which was previously known as " disgust TV", I am a star - get me out of here! Position: "The jungle camp has achieved its breakthrough with advertising customers - and gives us a lot of momentum".
