Matthias Grunsky

Matthias Grunsky (born August 15, 1971 in Vienna ) is an Austrian cameraman (Director of Photography).

His first feature film was Funny Ha Ha (2002) for the American director Andrew Bujalski , with whom he then made five more feature films.

For his work as a cameraman for the black and white feature film Computer Chess (2013), he was nominated at the US “ Independent Spirit Awards ” in the “Best Cinematography” category. For the musical Saints Rest (2016) he won the "Best of the Midwest Award" in the "Best Cinematography" category.

Grunsky is a member of the Cinematography Association , BVK.

He works internationally, but mainly on American independent feature film productions.
