Matthias Plarre (born February 27, 1992 in Schmölln ) is a German sporting director in cycling and a former cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2008, Matthias Plarre was the German vice-champion in the team pursuit . In 2010 he won a stage of the Regio Tour and finished second in the overall ranking. In 2013 he won around the Sachsenring and won the overall ranking of the cycling Bundesliga . In 2014 he received a two-year contract with the Leopard Development Team . In mid-April 2015, he fell at the Arno Wallaard Memorial and sustained a protracted shoulder injury. At the end of 2015 he ended his active cycling career to continue his studies.

Professional

Plarre has been the sporting director of the Ur-Krostitzer team since 2017 .
