Matthias von Krosigk

Matthias von Krosigk (born  February 15, 1616 in Hohenerxleben , †  October 17, 1697 in Merbitz ), Lord of Hohenerxleben, Rathmannsdorf and Merbitz, was a landowner, diplomat and member of the greater committee of the Anhalt landscape.

Life

Matthias von Krosigk came from the noble family Krosigk . He was the son of Gebhard Friedrich von Krosigk (1579-1630) and his first wife, Catharina von Krosigk, born in 1608, born von Veltheim († 1620). Vollrad von Krosigk (1612–1660) was his older brother. His half-siblings were Jakob Anton von Krosigk (1624–1704), Ludolf Lorenz von Krosigk (1627–1673) and Bertha Sophie von Krosigk (1631–1686, ⚭ Johann August von der Asseburg ).

Until 1630 he attended high school in Halle (Saale) . From 1638 to 1639 he did imperial / Electoral Saxon military service. In 1644 he traveled with Gebhard XXV. from Alvensleben to Munster and made a cavalier journey to Cologne , the Netherlands , Calais and Paris . From 1648 to 1649 he was court master of Johann von Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf . In 1649 he was accepted into the Fruitful Society under the company name The Improved . From 1649 Krosigk had its seat in Merbitz. In 1665 he became war commissioner for the Saalkreis and in 1683 he was appointed Kurbrandenburg regional chamber councilor in the Duchy of Magdeburg .

On January 1, 1951, he married Anna Catharina von Krosigk, née von Amelunxen (1624–1675). From this marriage the children Gebhard Friedrich von Krosigk (* ​​1652, ⚭ Agnes Sibylla von Dieskau ) and the royal Prussian colonel and lord of Merbitz, Anton Ludolph von Krosigk (1667–1737, ⚭ Ida Hedwig Charlotta von Lethmate) emerged.
