Matthias Matuschik (* 8. January 1965 in Weiden ) is a German comedian and radio presenter . Until 2015 he was also a regular DJ at events . Matuschik is also known by his nickname Matuschke .

Life

Matuschik began his radio career in 1989 with the private broadcaster Radio Ramasuri . Between 1994 and 1998 he was a presenter at SWF3 before moving to Bayern 3 . Here he first moderated the afternoon program before receiving his own evening program.

After some time as the presenter of the morning broadcast on the private radio station Donau 3 FM in Ulm , he has been back on ARD radio waves since 2007 .

From April 2007 to October 2008 he worked at WDR 2 . Here he first moderated a personality show on Sunday mornings ( Matuschik on Sunday ), before being heard mainly on weekdays in the evening music programs and at night since January 2008. In the same month he returned to Bayern 3, where he was initially on the air on Saturday and Sunday with the Bayern 3 cult night . On October 2nd, 2008 he hosted the music club on WDR 2 for the last time, and since October 6th he can be heard on Bayern 3 Monday to Thursday in his own evening show Matuschke - The Other Evening in Bayern 3 ; the Bayern-3-Kultnacht has only run on Saturday night since then. From May 2013 to the end of July 2015, the BR-Jugendwelle Puls program ran on Saturday night in Bayern 3 . Bayern 3 - Durch die Nacht has been running on this broadcast since August 2015 .

During his broadcasts he often speaks to his Austrian music editor "Kerby" Wolfgang Kerber. These conversations are only "on air" as monologues (you can only hear Matuschik's voice), since according to Matuschik Kerby is very media-shy and wants to work in the background.

For the German Radio Prize 2011, which took place on September 8, 2011 in Hamburg, Matthias Matuschik was nominated in the “Best Moderator” category.

Matuschik has also been on the road as a cabaret artist since 2013: after the first successful program “Heilige Scheiße”, he also went on tour with his BR colleague Susanne Rohrer in 2014 (“We have to talk”). In autumn 2015, his latest satirical program premiered: “Degenerate Favor”.

In July 2015, he moderated the Wolfratshausen River Festival and in an announcement equated the creation of smoking areas with anti-Semitic coercive measures (“like a square of Jews”). In response to criticism, he replied that he had already performed this comparison over 100 times. Shortly thereafter, he torpedoed an event of far-right splinter party 's rights by animated spontaneous counter demonstrators and passers-by to the low chanting of the neo-Nazis.

The small party courage put Matuschik up as a candidate for the state election in Bavaria in 2018 . In the district of Würzburg-Stadt he received 639 of the first votes, which corresponds to a share of 0.87%.
