Maureen Anderman (born October 26, 1946 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American actress .

Life

Anderman made her Broadway debut in 1970 as Bianca in William Shakespeare's Othello . Since then she has appeared in numerous shows on Broadway, including productions by Hamlet and Macbeth and Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? In 1972 she received the Theater World Award for her performances , and in subsequent years she was nominated for the Tony Award and twice for the Drama Desk Award . She has also appeared in a number of off-Broadway productions.

In contrast, she was rarely seen in film and television. In addition to guest roles in television series such as Kojak - Einsatz in Manhattan , chief physician Dr. Westphall and Spenser she appeared in a recurring guest role as Pete O'Phelan in the series The Equalizer between 1985 and 1989 .
