The Maurer SE is a company of the steel, mechanical and plant engineering. It was founded in Munich in 1876 , where the head office is still located today. There is also a branch in Lünen / Westphalia and a branch in Bernsdorf near Dresden . The company has its own production facilities in China, India and Turkey.
Basic data
The company operates in the three areas of structural protection systems, steel construction and special machine construction. In 2017, an average of 449 people were employed, who achieved sales of EUR 89.6 million. In 2014, the company previously run as a GmbH & Co. KG changed its name to Aktiengesellschaft Maurer AG, and on November 21, 2016, the name was changed to a European company, Maurer SE.
Structural protection system
Here are expansion joints and bridge bearings manufactured. In the Russki Bridge over the eastern Bosporus in Vladivostok , which was completed in 2012, Maurer Söhne installed swiveling cross members with a movement of up to 2,400 mm, spherical and horizontal force bearings with up to 34,000 kN load, semi-active rope dampers with 1,100 mm stroke and hydraulic dampers with 3,000 kN overload protection . Earthquake devices and vibration dampers are manufactured for bridges and steel chimneys, among other things.
Maurer Söhne experienced the blackest day on April 11, 1996, when a subcontractor caused a major fire while repairing an expansion joint at Düsseldorf Airport . In the fire accident, 17 people died and 88 were injured. Terminals A and B were almost completely destroyed, and Terminal C was affected by smoke gases.

Mason Rides
Maurer Rides is a brand and, as a subsidiary, a German manufacturer of amusement park attractions based in Munich. It was founded in 2003 as an independent unit of the Maurer Group. Most of the production takes place at the Munich location by the parent company.
Among the famous theme park attractions of Maurer Rides include Venus GP Japanese Kitakyushu , Winjas in Phantasialand in Brühl, Tarántula and Abismo in Parque de Atracciones de Madrid in Madrid, Formule X as Abschuss- steel roller coaster at the amusement park Drievliet Family Park at The Hague . In 2020, Maurer Rides will deliver the first roller coaster to be installed on a cruise ship. The roller coaster will be installed on the Mardi Gras of Carnival Cruise Line from Miami.
