Maurice Christopher Jones-Drew (* 23. March 1985 in Oakland , California ) is a former American American football poker players, which in the position of running backs played. He was active in his career for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Oakland Raiders in the National Football League (NFL) and played college football at the University of California, Los Angeles .

After his active playing career, Jones-Drew was, among other things, a presenter at the football television station NFL Network .

Jones-Drew played from 2003 to 2005 at the University of California, Los Angeles with the UCLA Bruins .

He came in the three years to 2503 yards in 481 running game trains and caught 64 balls for 819 yards. He managed a total of 33 touchdowns .

NFL player career

Jones-Drew was selected in the NFL Draft 2006 in the 2nd round in a total of 60th place by the Jacksonville Jaguars .

Jacksonville Jaguars

From his 2006 to 2013 rookie season , Jones-Drew played for the Jaguars and set several team records as a running back during his time in Jacksonville . Among other things he made in the 2011 season 1606 erlaufene yards , setting a new record for the Jaguars franchise on. He was also the rushing leader of the NFL that season by setting the record .

Jones-Drew was elected to the Pro Bowl three times during his season with the Jaguars ( 2009 , 2010 , 2011 ).

For the Jaguars, Jones-Drew ran a total of 8,071 yards and 68 touchdowns . He also caught 335 balls for 2,871 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Oakland Raiders

After his last contract with the Jaguars expired, Jones-Drew signed a three-year contract with the Oakland Raiders on March 27, 2014 , returning to his birthplace.

Jones-Drew decided to end his playing career before the expiration of the contract with the Raiders and did so on March 5, 2015.

Career as an NFL presenter

In the same year of his career end as an active player in the NFL, Jones-Drew became a sports analyst for the US television station NFL Network , which mainly provides coverage of the National Football League and occasionally college football . Right at the beginning he formed a moderator duo with the also former NFL player Ike Taylor .

On August 5, 2016, the Los Angeles Rams officially announced that Jones-Drew would be supporting their radio broadcast team. He was used in the moderation team as a color analyst .
