Maurice Lecoq took part in the Olympic Games in Paris in 1900 and in London in 1908 , as well as in the 1906 Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens . In 1908 he started in seven disciplines and was able to win a medal twice. In the team competition with the army rifle in the three-position battle over 300 m, he won the bronze medal together with Achille Paroche , Auguste Cavadini , Léon Moreaux , René Thomas . With the free pistol , he secured silver with Achille Paroche, Louis Dutfoy , Léon Moreaux and Jules Trinité . In all other competitions he placed outside the top ten. Lecoq won three other medals at the 1906 Olympic Intermediate Games. He won the competition with the rapid-fire pistol in front of his compatriot Léon Moreaux, while he took third place with the dueling pistol behind Moreaux and Cesare Liverziani . With the army rifle in the three-position battle over 300 m, he also secured bronze with Léon Moreaux, Raoul de Boigne , Jean Fouconnier and Maurice Fauré . In addition, he competed in seven other disciplines and, among other things, missed another medal as fourth with the military revolver from the model year 1874. In 1908 Lecoq only took part in the individual and team competition with the free rifle in the three-position fight over 300 m. While he did not get beyond 31st place in the individual, he won bronze again with the team that, in addition to Lecoq, also consisted of Léon Johnson , Eugène Balme , André Parmentier , Albert Courquin and Raoul de Boigne.
Lecoq won a total of 15 medals at world championships , including six silver and nine bronze medals. His only medal in a pistol competition was winning the silver medal in Paris in 1900, since the Olympic competition also counted as a world championship. He won ten of his medals in team competitions, including three silver medals. In 1901 in Lucerne with the free rifle in the prone position, in 1906 in Milan with the free rifle in the three-position fight and in 1911 in Rome with the army rifle in the three-position fight, he was vice world champion.
