Max William Staples (born July 27, 1994 in Subiaco City ) is an Australian volleyball player .

Career

Staples began his career at Rossmoyne Senior High School . He later played in Canberra . In 2013, the outside attacker moved to the French club AS Orange Nassau. In the 2014/15 season he was active at Arbo Rotterdam Fusion before moving to the Belgian club Noliko Maaseik . In the 2016/17 season he played again in the Netherlands, this time for Draisma Dynamo Apeldoorn . Then he went to the Finnish club Hurrikaani Loimaa . With the Australian national team at the 2018 World Cup . In the 2018/19 season he won the cup and championship double with the Czech club Jihostroj České Budějovice . He was then signed by the German-Austrian Bundesliga club Hypo Tirol Alpenvolleys Haching . In January 2020, Staples moved to the Czech club Kladno Volejbal.
