Daniel Končal (born September 16, 1982 in Komárno ) is a Slovak volleyball player .

Career

Končal started his career in 1998 at VKP Bratislava . From 2004 to 2006 he played in the Austrian league, first for Supervolley Enns and then for Union Volleyball Arbesbach , before returning to Bratislava for one season. There he won the Slovak Cup in 2007. He then moved to the Finnish league to Kempeleen Lentopallo and in 2009 to ČZU Prague . In 2010 the player was signed by the Austrian Bundesliga club Hypo Tirol Innsbruck . With the club he became Austrian champions in 2011 and 2012. On June 23, 2012, he made his debut for the Slovak national team in a match in the Europa League . In the 2012/13 season he won the championship and cup double with Bratislava. Then he moved to France to Asnieres Paris . In 2015, Končal reached fifth place with the national team at the European Games in Baku . The following season he played again for ČZU Prague and in 2016/17 for ČEZ Karlovarsko . In December 2017 he was signed by the German-Austrian Bundesliga club Hypo Tirol Alpenvolleys Haching . With the alpine volleys he reached the semifinals in the Bundesliga playoffs . The same result came in the 2018/19 season.
