Douglas Duarte Souza da Silva (born September 24, 1983 ) is a Brazilian volleyball player .

Career

Duarte da Silva joined Hypo Tirol volleyball team Innsbruck in 2007 . With the club he was Austrian runner-up in the 2007/08 season. The following season he paused due to a knee injury and therefore left Innsbruck in January 2009. He then played in his home country of Brazil. In the 2010/11 season, the middle blocker was active in the Spanish league at Tarragona . He then played in Jakarta for two years . In 2013 Innsbruck brought the Brazilian back. With Innsbruck he was Austrian champion four times in a row from 2014 to 2017 . He also won the national cup in 2014 and played regularly in the volleyball Champions League . In 2017 he joined the team of the newly founded German-Austrian Bundesliga club Hypo Tirol Alpenvolleys Haching . With the alpine volleys he was eliminated in the 2017/18 season in the round of 16 of the DVV Cup , but reached the semi-finals in the Bundesliga playoffs . The same results were achieved in the 2018/19 season.
