Maxim Livio

Maxime Livio (born July 27, 1987 in Dijon ) is a French eventing rider .

In 2005 Livio was Vice-Junior European Champion with the French team. In 2009 he finished eighth at the World Cup in Gatcombe Park . In 2013 he won an event in the CIC *** category for the first time in Sandillon . In the same year, he took second place in his first 4 * test, the Étoiles de Pau .

In March 2014 he and the French team won the French Nations Cup in Fontainebleau . At the World Equestrian Games in 2014 , Livio finished fifth and fourth with the French team. However, his horse Qalao des Mers tested positive for acepromazine during the doping control . Livio was disqualified and France lost the starting place for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio . Livio was banned from May to November 2015.

The 2016 season was successful for Maxime Livio: In his second 4 * tournament, which he competed in Luhmühlen , he came second again. Livio won his third CCI 4 * test, the Étoiles de Pau 2016, with Qalao des Mers .

  • 2016: 1st place in the CCI 2 * Wiener Neustadt with Opium de Verrieres , 2nd and 3rd place in the CIC 3 * Marbach with Qalao des Mers and Pica d'Or , 2nd place in the CCI 4 * Luhmühlen with Qalao des Mers , 2nd place in the CCI 2 * Lignières with Tzar of her Dreams , 1st place in the CCI 4 * Pau with Qalao des Mers
  • 2017: 2nd place in the CCI 4 * Lexington with Qalao des Mers , 1st place in the individual ranking of the CICO 3 * Waregem with Pica d'Or
