The Meckelbach is a small stream in the Westphalian city of Münster . It runs in the west of the city area.
course
The Meckelbach rises west of the Roxel district near the city limits to the Havixbeck community . It flows in a south-easterly direction past Roxel, crosses under Autobahn 1 at the Münsterland rest area and continues in the same direction to the Mecklenbeck district . There the Meckelbach changes its course in a north-easterly direction along the northern edge of Mecklenbeck, before flowing into the Münstersche Aa on the right-hand side just before the Aasee .
The water overcomes a height difference of 14 meters during its flow path, resulting in a mean bed gradient of 1.7 ‰.
