The Medalha Halibur ( German  Halibur medal ) is a decoration of East Timor .

The Medalha Halibur is awarded to members of the Joint Command of Operation Halibur who have made significant contributions to the operation. National and foreign security forces pursued the rebels who attacked President José Ramos-Horta and Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão in the 2008 attack in Dili . Details on the award will be determined by the presidential decree.

Appearance

The gold medal has a diameter of 38 mm. The obverse is shaped like a five-pointed star bearing the national flag of East Timor and the coat of arms of East Timor . A laurel heart is shown on the back . The colors of the ribbon are derived from the colors of the East Timorese National Police and the East Timorese defense forces .
