Medardo de Jesús Henao del Río MXY (born June 8, 1967 in Liborina , Departamento de Antioquia , Colombia ) is Vicar Apostolic of Mitú .

Life

Medardo de Jesús Henao del Río joined the religious order of the Misioneros Javerianos de Yarumal and made perpetual profession on December 3, 1994 . He received on 4 December 1999 the Archbishop of Medellin , Alberto Giraldo Jaramillo PSS , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 23 November 2013 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Casae Medianae and ordered him Vicar Apostolic of Mitú. The Apostolic Nuncio in Colombia, Archbishop Ettore Balestrero , donated him as well as Carlos Alberto Correa Martínez and Joselito Carreño Quiñonez MXY the episcopal ordination on February 15, 2014 ; Co- consecrators were the retired Vicar Apostolic of Inírida , Antonio Bayter Abud MXY, and the Bishop of Sonsón-Rionegro , Fidel León Cadavid Marín . The inauguration took place on March 16, 2014.
