The Apostolic Vicariate Mitú ( lat. : Apostolicus Vicariatus Mituensis ) is an in Colombia located Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate with headquarters in Mitú .

history

Pope Pius XII founded on June 9, 1949 the Apostolic Prefecture Mitú from territory of the Apostolic Vicariate Los Llanos de San Martín . On January 19, 1989, she lost part of her territory to the Vicariate Apostolic of San José del Guaviare . On June 19, 1989 she was elevated to the Vicariate Apostolic Mitú-Puerto Inírida. On November 30, 1996, she lost part of its territory to the Vicariate Apostolic Inírida
