Estuaire de la Gironde et Mer des Pertuis Marine Nature Park
The Estuaire de la Gironde et Mer des Pertuis ( French: Parc naturel marin de l'estuaire de la Gironde et de la mer des Pertuis ) is located on the French Atlantic coast . The coastal strip lies in the departments of Vendée , Charente-Maritime and Gironde .

Park management
The marine nature park was founded in April 2015. The park administration is based in Marennes ( 45 ° 49 ′ 21 ″ N , 1 ° 6 ′ 19 ″ E, ) . The nature park covers a sea area of 6500 km² and a coastline of around 1000 kilometers.
The park borders 114 communities on the land side. The most important of these are:

climate
The coastal area is in the temperate climate zone of oceanic character ( maritime climate ) with very mild winters, warm summers and frequent rainfall. The winters are often frost-free, the summers are still very bearable.
