action
The mental coach Paul Frei is watched by his wife Minette as he has fun with another woman. When they see each other at home shortly afterwards, they both act as if nothing had happened. The next evening the family visits the opera Così fan tutte , where Paul's lover Nora Novac shows up and urges him to spend the coming weekend with her in Prague .
On the day of departure, Minette secretly follows her husband to the train station. When she notices that he is not going to Frankfurt as he stated, she also gets on the train to Prague. On the train, she witnesses an argument between Paul and Nora in which Nora demands that Paul call her and tell her that he wants to live with Nora. Paul can just prevent Nora from dialing Minette's number herself.
That same evening, back in Munich, Paul confesses the affair to his wife and assures her that it is over. When Minette was working on the translation of a book the next day, she received an email from a stranger who wanted to meet her. During the meeting, he tells her that the Prague police found a body in a river near the hotel where Paul and Nora met. He threatens to tell the police that Paul killed his former lover Nora and demands € 400,000 in hush money. If she does not comply with his request, he will kidnap her daughter. Minette then forged her husband's signature in order to take out a loan from the bank and thus have at least € 300,000 available. When the money is handed over on a mountain, there is a dispute between Minette and the stranger because of the missing € 100,000, in which he falls from the rock and dies.
On the descent with the cable car, Minette sees Nora, believed to be dead, in the oncoming gondola. She realizes that Nora and the stranger faked her death in order to blackmail Paul's family.
