Location of Meischendorf in Bavaria

Meischendorf is a district of the municipality of Schwarzhofen in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf ( Bavaria ).

Geographical location

Meischendorf is located about five kilometers northwest of Schwarzhofen on the north bank of the Schwarzach .

history

In 1265 Ulrich von Meischendorf was mentioned as a witness for a donation to the Schwarzhofen monastery . He was the bearer of various Ortenburg fiefs.

In 1273 Heinrich von Meischendorf was named as the fiefdom bearer of Duke Ludwig the Strict .

Meischendorf (also: Musch village Maeusschendorf, Mewschendorf, Meuschendorf, Meischendorff, Meüschndorff, mashing village) is in the land registers of

  • 1285 with nine farms, a fiefdom and a mill,
  • 1326 with eight farms, a fiefdom and a mill,
  • 1499 with four yards, a fiefdom and a private hammer,
  • 1622 with three farms, two estates, a hammer, a mill and a resident

listed.

In Meischendorf there was

At the end of the 18th century, Meischendorf with 9 properties and a hut is listed as part of the Zangenstein estate with the owner Anton Freiherr von Saur.

According to an ordinance of 1808, the district court of Neunburg vorm Wald was divided into 55 tax districts. Zangenstein formed a tax district with the villages of Altenhammer, Holzhof, Meischendorf and Schönau. At that time Meischendorf had 7 properties, a tailor, a weaver and a carpenter.

In 1809 Anton Freiherr von Saur held the Zangenstein patrimonial court . This included the villages of Zangenstein with 19 families, Meischendorf with 9 families, Altenhammer with 4 families, Mantlarn with 3 families, Holzhof with 2 families and Uckersdorf with 2 families.

In 1820 rural communities were formed. This created the rural community of Zangenstein, which consisted of the villages of Zangenstein with 19 families, Meischendorf with 8 families, Altenhammer with 4 families and Holzhof with 2 families.

On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Meischendorf was listed as part of the Altendorf parish with 5 houses and 55 inhabitants. On May 1, 1978 the community of Zangenstein was incorporated into the community of Schwarzhofen. Meischendorf thus came to the community of Schwarzhofen. On December 31, 1990, Meischendorf had 21 residents and belonged to the parish Altendorf.
