Melanie Andernach

Melanie Andernach (* 1974 in Neuwied ) is a German film producer and screenwriter .

Live and act

Melanie Andernach studied law at the University of Bonn from 1994 to 1999 . She then did her doctorate on film law in Munich and Paris. From 2002 to 2005 he studied creative production at the International Film School in Cologne . Melanie Andernach earned her Bachelor of Arts with the short films Still Life by Marcel Ahrenholz and Amor Fati by Dennis Todorović .

The films she produced were shown at numerous film festivals. Still lifes have been shown at the Camerimage in Łódź and the International Film Festival Rotterdam . The film in which Andreas Köhler was behind the camera was nominated for the 2006 German Camera Prize and was also included in the catalog of the AG Kurzfilm . Amor Fati was shown at the Locarno International Film Festival and the Seoul Film Festival , among others . The film was nominated for the First Steps Award 2007 and won the audience award at the 2006 Dresden Film Festival . The Things Between Us was selected as part of the 2008 Berlinale for the "Perspektive Deutsches Kino" series at the 2008 Berlin International Film Festival .

Knut Losen and Melanie Andernach are managing directors of the film production company Made in Germany Filmproduktion, which they founded together.

Melanie Andernach lives in Cologne .
