The Merdereau is a river in France that runs in the Pays de la Loire region . It rises in the municipal area of Loupfougères , generally drains east to south-east, reaches the Normandy-Maine Regional Nature Park and flows 26 kilometers below Saint-Paul-le-Gaultier as a right tributary into the Sarthe . On its way, the Merdereau crosses the Mayenne and Sarthe departments .
