A trade fair company is a public company that organizes and conducts trade fairs. The legal form is usually a GmbH .

aims

The trade fair companies pursue macroeconomic and regional economic and communal goals; Operational goals of the trade fair companies include performance goals (exhibitor and visitor numbers), financial goals (making profits, increasing sales) or competition goals (increasing foreign participation).

A trade fair company can act as its own organizer in Germany, but it can also make the trade fair grounds available to "third-party" organizers or rent them to them; this is the case, for example, with the exhibition company in Frankfurt: The IAA , ACHEMA and the Frankfurt Book Fair take place here, all with their own organizers. In contrast to many other countries, trade fair companies in Germany are all organized on a municipal basis.
