Mestizo music

As Mestizo music is called music in which musical styles from Latin America as salsa , rumba , samba and cumbia with various influences from the pop - and rock scene mix, especially with ska , rap , reggae and punk rock .

The Spanish name música mestiza was originally used in Latin America for music styles that consist of a mixture of European and Indian elements. The expression was used in a figurative sense for the term mestizo - as a term for the descendants of various ethnic groups such as Europeans and indigenous people in Latin America. It wasn't until the 1990s that mestizo was likely used by record companies to better denote the fusion between Latin American music and pop and rock styles.
