Mia Aegerter (* 9. October 1976 as Myriam Aegerter in Friborg ) is a Swiss Pop - singer and actress .

biography

Mia Aegerter grew up in a family of artists. Both her mother (guitar teacher) and her father ( drummer ) play in a band. Mia played guitar from an early age and wrote her own songs. After graduating from high school , she moved to Munich , where she studied singing, dance and acting at the musical academy.

In 1998 she won the impersonator contest in the by Thomas Ohrner moderated mission Let yourself be surprised and stepped into the Soundmixshow entitled Torn by Natalie Imbruglia on. She was also seen as a dancer in the video clip Doubledecker by the band Liquido .

Aegerter became known through numerous appearances as Xenia di Montalban in the series Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten . Because of a lung disease discovered late, she had to take a six-month break at GZSZ. In April 2005 she toured with her band, consisting of Julian Feifel (guitar / background vocals), Benno Richter (bass) and Athanasios "Zacky" Tsoukas (drums), through various Swiss clubs. In the summer she performed at various Swiss festivals.

On March 21, 2006 Aegerter went public again with the announcement of a new album and a single. The single Meischterwärk / Masterpiece Of Humankind was released on May 12, 2006, the album Vo Mänsche U Monster / Of Humans and Monsters followed on June 9, 2006. Mia performed in various Swiss cities with a new band.

Most radio stations refused to play their new single Meischterwärk in 2006 because the song was supposedly too rocky. It was only classified in the charts for two weeks and didn't even make it into the top 50. The associated album Vo Mänsche u Monschter / Of Humans and Monsters did better. Her third album Chopf or Buuch was released on January 30, 2009. In 2012, her fourth album followed with Grenzgängerin .

After a five-year break, Mia Aegerter released her fifth album, nothing for cowards, on her own in 2017 . She sings in High German for the first time and has written all the songs herself. Singing and guitar are the focus.
