Mica Paris
Mica Paris , actually Michelle Antoinette Wallen (* 27. April 1969 in South London ) is a British Soul - and R & B - singer .
biography
Her career as a singer began at the age of 17 with a contract with the Island Records label . In 1988 she released her first album So Good , from which the track My One Temptation reached number 7 in the UK charts. On July 26, 1988 , Mica Paris appeared as a musical guest at an aftershow by Prince at Camden Palace in London. The following year she released a cover version of Where Is the Love? In a duet with Will Downing . , originally by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway from 1972.
In the years that followed, Mica Paris worked with Prince , James Morrison , Jools Holland and David Gilmour , among others . She released a number of other albums and appeared as an actress and as a radio and television presenter. In 2008 she received the Outstanding Achievement Award at the Urban Music Awards in London . She sang at the Duke of Edinburgh's 90th birthday celebrations .
