Michał Szyba (born March 18, 1988 in Lublin ) is a Polish handball player who runs for the Polish club KS Azoty-Puławy .

Career

Michał Szyba played for the Polish club Unia Lublin until 2004. He then ran for KS Azoty-Pulawy, with whom he in the seasons 2010/11 , 2011/12 , 2012/13 and 2013/14 at the EHF Challenge Cup took part. In 2014, the 1.95 meter tall back player moved to Slovenia to RK Velenje , for whom he played in the EHF European Cup in 2014/15 and 2015/16 . From summer 2016, Szyba was under contract with the Swiss first division club Kadetten Schaffhausen . With Schaffhausen he won the Swiss championship in 2017. Szyba joined the French first division club Cesson-Rennes Métropole HB in the summer of 2018 . A year later he returned to Azoty-Puławy.

With the Polish national team , Szyba took part in the European Championships in 2014 and 2016 , as well as in the World Cup in 2015 , where he won the bronze medal with Poland . He also took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
