Michael Bramos ( Greek Μάικλ Μπράμος , born May 27, 1987 in Harper Woods , Michigan , United States ) is a Greek basketball player who plays shooting guard and small forward at a height of 1.98 m .

Career

Michael Bramos was born in Harper Woods, Michigan, USA. In addition to the US citizenship, as the son of Greek emigrants, he also has Greek citizenship. Bramos attended Miami University from 2005 to 2009 , where he played for the university team, the Miami RedHawks and in 2007 won the Mid-American Conference .

Bramos began his professional career in 2009 with the Greek first division club GS Peristeri , where he was under contract for one season. In 26 first division games he came to an average of 24 minutes of use, in which he was able to collect 9.0 points and 2.2 rebounds. In 2010 Bramos moved to Spain to CB Gran Canaria , where he made his debut in the ULEB Eurocup , Europe's second-highest club competition at the time. Between 2012 and 2014 Bramos was under contract with the Greek record champions Panathinaikos Athens . After his contract ended, he tried his hand at the NBA Summer League to recommend himself for the NBA. However, he injured himself there so badly that he had to sit out the entire 2014/15 season. In the summer of 2015 he returned to the dance floor and initially played for Venice . With this team he became Italian champion in the 2016/17 season and also won the FIBA Europe Cup in 2017/18 . In the summer of 2018, Bramos extended his expiring contract for another two years with an option for a third year. Bramos and his teammates celebrated his second Italian championship and the fourth for Venice in the 2018/19 season.

National team

Bramos made his debut in the Greek national team in 2011. At the European Championships in Lithuania , he reached sixth place with the Greek selection.
