Michael Christoph Wohler

Michael Christoph Wohler (* 1754 in Magdeburg ; † 1802 in Potsdam ) was a German sculptor who worked in Potsdam .

Life

Michael Christoph Wohler (“the younger”) and his brother Johann Christoph Wohler (1748–1799, “the elder”) apprenticed to their father and the brothers Johann David and Johann Lorenz Wilhelm Räntz, who had come to Potsdam from Bayreuth . They had been active in Potsdam since 1769 and were involved in the latest sculptures in the New Palace and in numerous city buildings.
