Michael Epp (cameraman)

Michael Epp (born October 26, 1939 in Vienna , Austria ; † October 21, 1999 in Trèbes , France ) was an Austrian cameraman .

Life

Epp received his training at the Vienna Graphic Training and Research Institute , photography department. He began his work as a camera assistant for Austrian entertainment films in the early 1960s.

Since 1964 he worked as a cameraman for ORF . In the 1970s he was a busy employee of the producer and director Ottokar Runze . From the beginning of the 80s he was also used again and again in French film, especially by Édouard Molinaro , but also by Michel Favart in his four-part series Die Elsässer . In 1996 Epp received the Bavarian Film Prize for his camera work in the feature film Mutters Courage (1995).
