Michael Francis McAuliffe
Michael Francis McAuliffe (born November 22, 1920 in Kansas City , Kansas , † January 9, 2006 in Jefferson City , Missouri ) was an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Jefferson City .
Life
He received the sacrament of ordination for the Diocese of Kansas City on May 31, 1945 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Jefferson City on July 2, 1969 . He was ordained episcopal by the Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Luigi Raimondi , on August 18 of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Kansas City-Saint Joseph , Charles Herman Helmsing , and his predecessor in Jefferson City, Joseph Mary Marling CPpS .
On June 25, 1997, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
