Michael Gerard Duca
Michael Gerard Duca (born June 5, 1952 in Dallas ) is an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Baton Rouge .
Life
The Bishop of Dallas , Thomas Ambrose Tschoepe , ordained him a priest on April 29, 1978 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on April 1, 2008 Bishop of Shreveport . The Archbishop of New Orleans , Alfred Clifton Hughes , donated him episcopal ordination on May 19 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Michael Jarboe Sheehan , Archbishop of Santa Fe , and Kevin Joseph Farrell , Bishop of Dallas.
Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Baton Rouge on June 26, 2018. The inauguration took place on August 24th of the same year.
