Michael Joseph Ready (born April 9, 1893 in New Haven , Connecticut , USA , † May 2, 1957 ) was Bishop of Columbus .

Life

Michael Joseph Ready received on 14 September 1918, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 11, 1944, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Bishop of Columbus. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Amleto Giovanni Cicognani , ordained him episcopal on December 14 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Cincinnati , John Timothy McNicholas OP , and the Coadjutor Bishop of Cleveland , Edward Francis Hoban . The inauguration took place on January 4, 1945.
