Michael John Mustill, Baron Mustill , Kt , PC , QC , FBA (born May 10, 1931 in Leeds , † April 24, 2015 in Pateley Bridge , North Yorkshire ) was a British lawyer and politician who has been a Life Peer member of the House of Lords was.

Life

After visiting the Oundle School made Mustill 1949-1951 his military service in the Royal Artillery and then a study of graduated law at St John's College of the University of Cambridge . After graduation in 1955, he received his license as a lawyer at the Bar Association ( Inns of Court ) of Gray's Inn . He then worked as a lawyer and was awarded the title of Crown Attorney in 1968 .

In 1972 he changed to the judge's service and worked as a reporter ( recorder ) at the Crown Court until 1978 . During this time he was also chairman of the civil service appeals tribunal from 1971 to 1978. In 1978 he was appointed judge at the High Court of Justice responsible for England and Wales , where he was judge of the Chamber for Civil Matters ( Queen's Bench Division ) until 1985 . Shortly after his appointment he was promoted to Knight Bachelor and since then has had the suffix "Sir".
