Christopher Michael Soyza (born April 2, 1989 in Kuala Lumpur ) is a professional Malaysian poker player .

Soyza is in a relationship with the Malaysian poker player Natalie Teh. He lives in Kuala Lumpur .

Poker career

Soyza plays on the online poker platform PokerStars under the nickname Soyza . Since 2011 he has been participating in renowned live tournaments .

Soyza had his first major success in January 2015 at the Aussie Millions Poker Championship in Melbourne . There he prevailed against 604 other players in a side event and secured a prize money of more than 135,000 Australian dollars . The following year he won the same tournament again, in which the prize money was now just under 150,000 Australian dollars. In May 2017 took Soyza the Main Event of the Poker King Cup in Macau second place, for which he based on a deal the equivalent of almost 150,000 US dollars received. In mid-July 2017 he was the first time in the World Series of Poker in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and came at Little One for One Drop , a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em , in the money.
