Michael Stocks (journalist)

Michael Stocks (* 1962 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German journalist and head of the ARD studio in Rio de Janeiro .

Stocks spent his youth in Plochingen near Stuttgart . Since 1988 he has worked for Südwestrundfunk , first for the current state programs and later in the sports department. From 1992 he went to the international department and was a reporter for the European magazine , Weltspiegel , Tagesschau and Mittagsmagazin .

At the end of the 1990s he became a representative in the ARD studios in South and Central America and provided information on politics , culture and sport in Latin America . After ARD moved the South America office from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro in 2005 , Stocks has been studio manager at the ARD studio in Rio de Janeiro since 2012.

In a video blog Tudo Bem ("Alles gut (?;!)") He regularly reports on interesting events in Brazil and the other South American countries in the reporting area.
