Michael Tronick

Michael Laurence Tronick (born March 2, 1949 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film editor .

Life

Tronick's career began in 1978 sound editing films such as Das Teufelscamp and The One Man Jury . Until he took over his first independent film editing with Beverly Hills Cop II in 1987 , he was still responsible for sound editing for films such as Just 48 Hours and Predator . From the late 80s until today, Tronick was mainly responsible for editing large mainstream productions such as Days of Thunder , Eraser , Mr. & Mrs. Smith and The Green Hornet . He was nominated twice for the Eddie Award.

Michael Tronick is a member of the American Cinema Editors . and was elected its Vice President in 2003.
