criticism
"The Adventures of Ford Fairlane" is a movie about a hero I didn't like, chasing villains I didn't hate, in a plot I didn't understand. It is also loud, ugly and mean-spirited. That makes it the ideal vehicle for Andrew Dice Clay, a comedian whose humor is based upon hating those not in the room for the entertainment of those present.

"The thin story serves as a platform for the controversial comedian star Andrew Dice Clay, who, as a notorious filthy finch, disappoints all expectations: his dreaded malicious slogans get lost in an unimaginative story that, as a detective film parody, can only offer the usual mannerisms."
“The controversial US cult comedian Clay also lets the mob humor properly on a leash. Supporting roles include Priscilla Presley and Ed "Al Bundy" O'Neill. Conclusion: "Miami Vice" as a hardcore, fun version. "
