Michaela Biet
Michaela Biet (* 1957 in Augsburg ) is a German sculptor .
From 1980 to 1985 she studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg under Wilhelm Uhlig . She is a member of the artist group Der Kreis and lives in Nuremberg .

The processing of stones is at the center of Michaela Biet's artistic work . She opens the stones or boulders by drilling and splitting and wants to show the inner core of the object. This art of "open forms" is embodied in numerous sculptures created by Biet in public spaces.
