Mikhail M. Ivanov (with the World Chess Federation FIDE Mikhail M Ivanov , Russian Михаил Иванов ; born January 10, 1969 ) is a Russian chess player .
Life
Mikhail Ivanov was trained in a chess school in Bryansk by Alexander Podymov . He now lives in Prague .
successes
In Germany, Michail Iwanow plays for the chess friends Anderssen Bad Mergentheim , in Austria he played for Salzburg in the 2nd Bundesliga from 2004 to 2006 . In 2009 he took part in the European Club Cup in Ohrid with the Finnish club Salon SK and received an individual bronze medal for his result of 5.5 out of 7 on the second board. In the Czech extra league he played for ŠK Mahrla Prague , with whom he became Czech team champion in 2009 . He also played in Russian, French, Luxembourg, Belgian, Icelandic and Serbian team championships. In Luxembourg he was team champion with Gambit Bonnevoie in the 2001/02 and 2002/03 seasons .
He won a few tournaments. Among other things, he won the 1997 Jareslaget Open in Trondheim with 1.5 points ahead of Nigel Davies and Igor Rausis . In 1998 he won the 2nd Neckar Open in Deizisau with 7.5 points from 9 games and a tournament in Bischwiller ahead of Sergey Galdunts . At the 5th Münch-Bräu-Open 2000 in Leutersdorf he was unbeaten and shared first with Roman Slobodjan and Yuri Boidman . In 2001 he won the 8th International Open in Sélestat in front of his Bad Mergentheim teammate Alexander Karpatschow . He won the Crailsheimer Open in 2003 and 2005. In 2005 he also won the tournament in Saint-Chély-d'Aubrac . In 2007 he won the 6th Brauhauscup in Chemnitz in front of Serhij Owsejewytsch , the 1st Korbacher Open in front of Lev Gutman and the International Travemünder Chess Open in front of Robert Rabiega .
In 1992 he received the title of International Master and has been a Grand Master since 1993 .
