Mick van Buren (born August 24, 1992 in Dordrecht ) is a Dutch football player . The striker has been under contract with Slavia Prague since 2016 .

Career

Mick van Buren began playing football in the SV Slikkerveer youth team before moving to the joint youth teams of Feyenoord and Excelsior Rotterdam . This was called "(SJO) Feyenoord / Excelsior". In 2011 he rose to the first Excelsior team, which was then playing in the honor division . He made his professional debut on August 5, 2011, when he came on for Roland Alberg in the 90th minute on the first day of the Ehrendivision season 2011/12, against Feyenoord Rotterdam of all places. In this season he could not fight for a regular place and only came to eleven missions without scoring. He only played 90 minutes once. Excelsior ended up being relegated from the honor division. In the following season, however, Mick van Buren was able to fight for a regular place and scored eleven times.

For the new season Mick van Buren moved to the Danish first division club Esbjerg fB . Jon Dahl Tomasson , who trained Mick van Buren at Excelsior in Rotterdam, described Mick van Buren as “målnæse” (literally translated as “Tornase”). On July 22, 2013, the first matchday of the 2013/14 Superliga season , Mick van Buren made his debut in the starting eleven of his new club in a 4-0 win against FC Nordsjælland . In the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League he qualified for the round of 32 with Esbjerg fB.
