action

Ebenezer Scrooge ( Dagobert Duck , predestined for the "role", since his original name is Scrooge McDuck ) is an old, selfish miser. Even when his nephew Fred ( Donald Duck ) asks him to visit him for Christmas, he refuses ("Humbug!"). One night his old partner Marley ( Goofy ) appears and shows him the fate that he has suffered and that Scrooge will still suffer. Marley also announces three ghosts that would appear that night.

The spirit of Christmas past (Jiminy Cricket, the Pinocchio cricket ) leads Scrooge back to a Christmas past. Scrooge sees his old love Isabel ( Daisy Duck ) again. The first ghost disappears, the second appears.

The present Christmas spirit (Willie, the giant from Mickey and the Beanstalk ) shows him the present Christmas, so Scrooge sees the family of his employee Bob Cratchit ( Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse with children) and notices that the Cratchits must live in poverty because Scrooge only pays a meager salary, but is happy in his heart.

The spirit of Christmas to come (Karlo the cat) shows him what will happen if Scrooge does not change. Scrooge wants to become a better person.
