Miez und Pug - Two animal friends ( Japanese 子 猫 物語 , Koneko monogatari , Eng. " Kitten - Tale") is a Japanese feature film from 1986. It deals with the friendship between a cat and a pug .
action
The cat Miez (Japanese Chatran ( チ ャ ト ラ ン , Chatoran )) and the dog Pug (Japanese Pūsuke ( プ ー 助 )) grow up together on a farm . Both are close friends who experience a lot together.
One day Kitty ends up in a wooden box in a stream and drifts away. Pug immediately goes in search of his friend, who has to fight off various dangers such as bears and waterfalls.
While Pug finds the wooden box while searching, Miez befriends a fawn and a group of piglets. Thanks to their mother, Miez can strengthen himself and continues his journey and his search for pug. After Miez finds more food in a fox's hiding place after a few setbacks, he is surprised by a rain shower. During the mutual search, the Pug meets a fox instead of a Kitty; Miez, on the other hand, saves herself after falling from a cliff to the shore and fights off a bear. The two friends finally find each other when Miez falls into a hole in the ground and Pug can free him.
When they return home, the two friends find partners and start families. A friendship develops between the two families.
Awards
- In 1987 the film was recognized as Most Popular Film with the Popularity Award . There was a Japanese Academy Award nomination in the Best Music category .
- In 1988 the film was nominated for the Young Artist Award in the category Best Family Feature Film - Adventure or Cartoon .
