Mila Beck (born July 16, 1965 in Kamp-Lintfort ) is a German director .

Life

After graduating from high school, doing a traineeship and completing her studies at the Academy for Journalism in Hamburg , Beck worked as a journalist for newspapers, magazines and television stations (including Sport Bild , Die Welt , NDR Fernsehen , Radio Bremen TV , Tele 5 , Das Erste , ZDF , RTL , Sat.1 , ProSieben ).

Mila Beck has worked as a director since 1994. The first video clips were followed by commercials and short films. In the following years she shot more than 100 episodes of various series from Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten to Sesame Street and St. Angela .

From 2004 to 2010 Mila Beck lived and worked in Spain , where she was co-owner of a production company. During this time Mila Beck u. a. 2006 the international short film Something About Life , directed the play Jealousy by Esther Vilar with great success and hosted the Red Carpet Night, a meeting platform for filmmakers and creative people on Mallorca .

Mila Beck has lived in Los Angeles since 2010 and is the owner of the film and jewelry company UnicMatrix. The film department focuses on independent film and music projects in the low budget area. The current project Testing Life has already won 5 film awards in 2011, including the Los Angeles Movie Awards, The Indie Fest and the Los Angeles Cinema Festival of Hollywood . UnicMatrix Jewelry focuses on "energetic jewelry" for "protection against electrosmog ".

From 1990 to 2000 Mila Beck was married to the German director Axel Barth. The couple has a son.
