The Mill Creek ( English for "Mühlbach") is a small stream in Westmoreland County in the US state of Pennsylvania .
It is created by the confluence of two source streams - Left Fork Mill Creek and Right Fork Mill Creek - on the western slope of the Laurel Hill ridge not far from Laurel Ridge State Park . Mill Creek flows west and takes two tributaries on the upper reaches called North Fork Mill Creek and South Fork Mill Creek . Immediately afterwards the brook leaves the wooded slopes of Laurel Hill and flows through a rural valley. It passes the hamlets of Waterford and Oak Grove before reaching the small town of Ligonier . There it forms part of the northern municipal boundary. To the west of Ligonier, Mill Creek flows into Loyalhanna Creek . It is entirely located in the Ligonier Township area .
According to the USGS , Mill Creek is about 13.7 km long and has a catchment area of 85.9 km².
