Miriam Casillas García (born June 24, 1992 in Badajoz ) is a Spanish triathlete . She is two-time national champion in triathlon (2014, 2016) as well as in the duathlon short distance (2014) and an Olympian (2016).

Career

Miriam Casillas García became World Junior Champion Cross-Triathlon in 2011.

In April 2014 she became Duathlon State Champion and in May in Pontevedra U23 Vice World Champion on the Duathlon short distance. In 2014 she also became the national triathlon champion and in 2016 she was able to secure this title a second time.

2016 Summer Olympics

Miriam Casillas García competed for Spain at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro on August 20 - together with Ainhoa ​​Murúa and Carolina Routier . As the best Spaniard, she finished 43rd.
