Summer Rappaport (born Summer Cook on July 24, 1991 in Denver , Colorado ) is an American triathlete .

Career

Summer Cook was active in swimming and running at Villanova University . In 2013 she started her first triathlon (Denver Irongirl Sprint Triathlon) and since March 2014 she has been active as a professional athlete.

In April 2016 she won her first race in the Triathlon World Cup on the Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running) in China. In June 2018, the then 26-year-old won her sixth gold medal in the Triathlon World Cup in Belgium.

In August 2019, Summer Rappaport secured a starting place for the 2020 Summer Olympics at the ITU Olympic test competition in Tokyo .
